1288 Clashenteple Hill

20/3/10 Dave H. Ran on from Ladylea Hill. These two must be almost the closest two of all the prominent peaks. Very pleasant run down on springy heather then a climb that is only just over 100m to the top. The picture is the route between the two hills. Sunny but cold when the sun went in, and lots of snowy hills to be seen. Thought about going on the Ben Newe, but decided to quite while I was enjoying it and had an easy run over mostly short heather and grass on a fairly direct line back to Strathdon. took 2 hours 20 altogether, which wasn't much more than a jog, but a very nice one.

Parked at the end of the forestry track on the wee back road bheind Ben Newe. Ran in on the track to the stream crossing, then picked up the line of the old path. Couldn't see any obvious break in the plantation to make for the summit, so just took a direct line up through the trees. Wasn't too bad once I was in. Came out of the forest near the summit of the hill. Continued on to Ladylea. Darn chilly out of the sun.
